  1. Acceptance of the Privacy Policy


This is the Privacy Policy of the (“Skinso”, “we”, “us” and terms of similar meaning) website (the “Site”) and our related products, including Product(s) and the purchase thereof though the Site, and services (collectively, the “Services”). It describes the information that we collect for users of the Site (“Users”) as part of the normal operation of the Site and how we use and disclose this information. At Skinso, we take your privacy rights very seriously and we are committed to transparently describing our privacy practices. 


We encourage you to read and understand our Terms of Use (“Terms”) and this Privacy Policy before using the Site. By accepting the Privacy Policy in registration or by visiting and using the Site, you expressly consent to our collection, use and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and subject to our Terms.


All capitalized terms that are not otherwise defined herein obtain their meaning from the Terms. 


  1. What Information Do We Collect?


Our primary purpose in collecting personal information from you is to provide you with a safe, smooth, efficient, and customized experience. This allows us to provide services and features that most likely meet your needs, and to customize our Services and Product(s) to make your experience safer and easier. We only collect personal information about you that we consider necessary for achieving this purpose.


In general, you can browse the Site without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information about yourself. In order to save your settings, manage your purchases, purchase Product(s) and/or participate in Skinso’s rewards/loyalty program, you must become a registered User through a User Account. When registering for a User Account, we require you to provide various contact and identity information and other personal information as indicated on the relevant forms on the Site, and you are no longer anonymous to us. Where possible, on these forms we indicate which fields are required and which fields are optional. In addition, as you use the Site and Services, you can from time to time enter or send to us personal information. 


You always have the option to not provide information by choosing not to become a User or customer of Skinso or by not using the particular feature of the Site and/or Services for which the information is being collected, such as the User Account.


The personal information that Skinso may collect may include your name, username, password, e-mail address, age, date of birth, gender, address, telephone number, credit card and debit card numbers (with expiration dates), PayPal login credentials, third party application login credentials, personal preferences, and any other personal information that you choose to include in your profile or in other communication to Skinso. You represent that you have the right and authority or have obtained all necessary consents to provide any information, including any personal information of another individual, that is provided by you to Skinso. 


We also automatically track certain information about you based upon your behaviour on our Site. We use this information to do internal research on our users’ demographics, interests, and behaviour to better understand, protect and serve you and our community. This information may include the URL that you just came from (whether this URL is on our Site or not), which URL you next go to (whether this URL is on our Site or not), your computer browser information, your IP address and your location.


Cookies” are small files placed on your hard drive that assist us in providing our services. We use cookies to allow you to enter your password less frequently during a session, and we use data collection devices (such as Google Analytics), including cookies, on certain pages of the Site to help analyze our web page flow, measure promotional effectiveness, and promote trust and safety, to offer certain features that are only available through the use of a cookie and to allow us to provide information that is targeted to your interests.

If you sign up for a User Account, we may use your personal information to provide you with promotions such as discounts and newsletters. For all Users, we may offer services or features which might collect your name, password, e-mail address, postal code, personal preferences, and any other personal information you choose to include in order to participate in any services or communications with Skinso. 


In the event you decide to terminate your User Account with us, we may delete the personal information associated with your User Account. Anytime you send us Content to post on a public area of the Site and/or you post content in any public area of the Site, you agree that the Content created or uploaded may be on the Site indefinitely, including after you terminate your User Account with us, unless you email us using our support contact information to remove the Content. 


  1. Our Disclosure of Your Information


We will share your personal information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this Privacy Policy and in accordance with your permissions. We will not sell or rent your personally identifiable information to third parties without your explicit consent. 


The following describes some of the ways that your information may be disclosed in the normal scope of business to provide our services:


Anonymized Aggregated Data. We aggregate and anonymize data and use and disclose such information for a variety of purposes, including analytics. However, in these situations, we do not disclose any information that could be used to identify you personally.


Subsidiaries and Affiliates; Service Providers.  We may from time to time use the services of affiliates, subsidiaries and unrelated service providers in the operation of the Site and the provision of our Services, and may disclose personal information to them in the course of our use of their services.  For example, we may use the services of third-party hosting companies to host the operation of the Site and the Services. This may involve the hosting of data, including personal information, on servers operated by those hosting companies. We may also use service providers to process payments of Users who wish to pay by credit card or through other electronic means. We take care to use only service providers that we believe are reputable and able to live up to our and your expectations, including about the handling of confidential information.


Law and Harm; Jurisdictions. Storing or Processing Your Data Outside of Canada. Please note that in some cases, personal information that we collect may be stored or processed outside of Canada. In such cases, we continue to protect the information with appropriate safeguards, but it may be subject to the legal jurisdiction of those countries and governmental authorities in those countries. 


Sale of Business. We may also disclose personal information to the acquiror or its agents in the course of the sale of our business. If we do this, the disclosure will be subject to confidentiality arrangements customary in such transactions.

Skinso recognizes the privacy interests of children and Skinso encourages parents and guardians to take an active role in their children’s online activities and interests. The Site and Services are not intended for children under the age of eighteen (18). Skinso does not target its Services, Products or the Site to children under eighteen (18). Skinso does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of eighteen (18).

Skinso strives to protect your personal information. We make commercially reasonable effort to ensure the security of your personal information on our system. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot warrant the security of any information you transmit to us.

Except as otherwise expressly included in this Privacy Policy, this document only addresses the use and disclosure of information we collect from you through the Site. To the extent that you disclose your information to other parties through the Site, different rules may apply to their use, collection and disclosure of the personal information you disclose to them. The personal information that you provide will be retained by Skinso in accordance with applicable laws. However, Skinso will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify personal information it holds if it is no longer needed Skinso business purposes.

Skinso may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time. The use of information we collect is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time the information is used. If we make any material changes in the way we use your personal information or data, we will notify you by e-mailing you at your e-mail address you provided when registering for a User Account (if any) and by posting an announcement in a visible location on the Site. Users are bound by any changes to the Privacy Policy when they use the Services after such changes have been first posted. If you do not agree with the changes, please do not use the Site. Unless otherwise specified, any changes or modifications will be effective immediately upon posting of the revisions on the Site, and your continued use of the Site after such time will constitute your acceptance of such changes or modifications. You should from time to time review the Privacy Policy to understand the terms and conditions that apply to your use of the Site. The Privacy Policy will always show the ‘last updated’ date at the top.
